At Racing Today, fans will continue to have access to an extensive array of both local and international racing content, now more accessible than ever before with the platform’s shift to a free-to-view model. Whether it’s live race coverage to captivating documentaries, insightful analyses, and behind-the-scenes stories, Racing Today strives to be the ultimate destination for all things horseracing.
While anyone in the world can register, certain content such as Racing 240, Global Racing 1, and select pop-up channels are geo-locked to South Africa. However, South African clean, on-demand content, and archives are accessible globally. Additionally, anyone with an internet connection can easily access Racing Today by visiting www.racingtoday.co.za or by downloading the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Existing customers are requested to please note the following:
1.2.1 Existing customers have the option to stream content from the new platform without needing to log in. Alternatively, they can access their existing profile using their previous 4Racing credentials and will be seamlessly redirected to the new platform at www.racingtoday.co.za , ensuring a smooth transition.
1.2.2 Customers with active subscriptions will be contacted by our support team to discuss credit or pro rata options available based on the user’s subscription expiry date.

Browsing and streaming content on Racing Today is FREE. Simply launch the web portal www.racingtoday.co.za or download the app from the Google Play or Apple App Store to get started. If you wish to download content for offline viewing, add content to favorites, schedule a recording, scroll back on the Electronic Program Guide for up to 7 days, set reminders, record, and enjoy many other features, registration will be mandatory.Register via a browser (PC or Mac ) or on your iOS or Android device.
During the sign-up process, you will create a username (email) and password that can be used to log in anytime, across all supported devices.
Once you have registered, you will receive a welcome email on the email address provided during registration advising you about how you can get all the exciting new releases on Racing Today.

Racing Today utilises a special streaming technology known as Adaptive Bit Rate technology that automatically adapts to your Internet connection speed and your device. The higher your Internet connection speed, the better the video quality will be. If you have a high-speed Internet connection (4Mbps and higher), you will get the best video quality. If you have a low-speed Internet connection speed (1 to 2Mbps and lower), you will still be able to watch video content, but not at the best quality we provide.
Streaming uses data. You will pay your Internet Service Provider for data use.
You will require a minimum speed of 2Mbps, but we recommend a 4Mbps (or faster) line to ensure a consistent stream and a great viewing experience, especially if you have more than one user on the line or multiple devices streaming at the same time.
Racing Today's Adaptive Bit Rate technology automatically adapts to your Internet connection speeds and your device. Thanks to this technology, you will be able to use Racing Today at broadband speeds as low as 512kbps. Of course, the higher your Internet connection speed, the better the video quality will be.
Yes, customers who choose to register and log in, as well as those who opt not to do so, enjoy unlimited access to Racing Today Services and content on any number of devices. Additionally, there are no restrictions on concurrent streams.
4. How do I manage my account ?
Registered customers have full control of their Racing Today account (profile) via "My Account".

Please check your Internet connection. If you do not have any Internet connection, you will see a message notifying you that you are not currently connected.
If you have an Internet connection but you still cannot watch the video (you either have a blank screen or a loading indicator), this means that your Internet connection is too slow or poor to watch a video. Please use an Internet connection with at least a 512Mbps speed. For best results, a connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps should be used.
This happens when you have a slow Internet connection of 512Mbps or lower. If you are using a small screen, lower quality video is sometimes tolerable. If you are using a big screen like laptop or Smart TV with a slow Internet connection, video quality may be poor, with lots of pixilation. The higher your Internet connection speed, the better the video quality will be.
To download any asset, ensure that you are logged in, click on the asset, and begin the download process. Please note that downloading is only available on mobile devices.

Download Now: The asset will be downloaded immediately.
Schedule a download: Ensure schedule download is on under your “schedule download settings”. This will enable you to set a download start and end time.
To ensure that your scheduled download works, ensure that your device is connected to an internet connection.

Yes, your download will continue in the background.
Your download will pause automatically and will resume when you are connected again.
Yes, you need an internet connection to download assets. Ensure your WIFI is on or go to your settings to enable your mobile data for downloads.

Yes, we can if we provide you with the option to opt-out. During the registration process we give you the option to select to receive email/marketing communication. Within every communication you will receive from us, we will provide you with the option to opt out. This communication will continue to be sent until you request us to stop. Under the POPI Act, we will only be able to direct market on an opt-in basis – if you have not selected to receive/not receive communication from us, we will send out an email that will enable you to either agree or not agree to receive communication.
